Biography of Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W

Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) was born in Mecca, in present-day Saudi Arabia, in the year 570 CE. He belonged to the Quraysh tribe, a prominent tribe in Mecca. His father, Abdullah, passed away before his birth, and his mother, Amina, passed away when he was just six years old. Thus, he was raised by his grandfather, Abdul-Muttalib, and later by his uncle, Abu Talib.

In his early years, Muhammad (pbuh) was known for his honesty, integrity, and wisdom. He worked as a merchant and earned the title of "Al-Amin" (the trustworthy) due to his impeccable reputation.

At the age of 40, Muhammad (pbuh) received the first revelation from Allah through the Angel Gabriel while meditating in the Cave of Hira near Mecca. These revelations continued over a period of 23 years and were compiled into the holy book of Islam, the Quran.

Muhammad (pbuh) began preaching the message of monotheism, calling people to worship Allah alone and to live righteous lives. Despite facing opposition and persecution from the Quraysh tribe and other adversaries, Muhammad (pbuh) continued to spread the message of Islam.

In 622 CE, due to increasing persecution, Muhammad (pbuh) and his followers migrated to the city of Medina in what became known as the Hijra. This event marked the beginning of the Islamic calendar. In Medina, Muhammad (pbuh) established the first Islamic state based on justice, equality, and compassion.

Throughout his life, Muhammad (pbuh) faced numerous challenges, including battles against those who sought to destroy Islam and harm its followers. However, he always emphasized forgiveness, mercy, and peace, even towards his staunchest enemies.

Muhammad (pbuh) passed away in 632 CE in Medina, having fulfilled his mission of delivering the message of Islam to humanity. His teachings continue to inspire millions of Muslims worldwide, guiding them towards righteousness, compassion, and devotion to Allah. He is revered as the final prophet in Islam, completing the line of prophets that includes Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them all).
