Some common chest exercises you can do in the gym along with their names:
Bench Press: This is a classic chest exercise where you lie on a bench and press a barbell or dumbbells away from your chest.
Dumbbell Flyes: Lie on a flat bench with dumbbells in each hand, arms extended out to the sides, then bring the dumbbells together in front of your chest in a wide arc motion.
Incline Bench Press: Similar to the bench press, but performed on an inclined bench, targeting the upper chest more.
Chest Dips: Using parallel bars, lower your body until your upper arms are parallel to the floor and then push yourself back up.
Cable Crossovers: Stand in the middle of a cable machine, set the cables at shoulder height, and pull the handles together in front of your chest, crossing them over.
Push-Ups: A bodyweight exercise where you support your body with your hands and toes, lowering your chest to the ground and then pushing back up.
Machine Chest Press: This exercise mimics the bench press but uses a machine with guided movement.
Pec Deck Machine: Sit in a pec deck machine, push the handles together in front of your chest, and then return them to the starting position, controlling the movement.
